If you’ve been told you have jaw pain and/or grinding and clenching issues, BOTOX injections are a great adjunct to night guard therapy. BOTOX has also been shown to decrease the intensity and frequency of headaches and migraines.
BOTOX is a purified naturally-occuring toxin that temporarily relaxes muscle(s) in and around the injection site.
BOTOX treatment longevity differs person to person but can last anywhere from 4-6 months.
BOTOX is sold price per unit and ranges from $10-15 each unit. A person typically needs about 20-30 units each side for clenching/grinding issues. Total price around $400-600. BOTOX is not covered by any dental insurances.
